cúcuta or san jose de cúcuta is the capital of the norte de santander department, in colombia. Cúcuta is an important city in northeastern Colombia because of where it is; on the border with venezuela. People from Cúcuta are called cucuteños.

most people live in houses, children start at 6:00 am and finish at 1:30 pm at school.
most people have lunch at home but on sundays they don't want to cook, so they have lunch in restaurants.
shops don't open late, and they close at lunchtime. they open on sundays but most of shops close at noon.
people have dinner at home about 8:00 pm and restaurants close at 10:30 pm to 11:00 pm
cúcuta is too hot.
cúcuta has also been called the pearl of the north and city of trees.
